Cancellation Policy

This policy outlines the terms under which an order may be canceled and the corresponding refund eligibility. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to Justbecausecookiesandmore@gmail.com

1. The Non-Refundable Deposit

• All custom pre-orders require a [50%] non-refundable deposit (for order $50.00 and more.  For orders $49.00 and less a full payment is required) to secure the date and begin the planning/ordering process.
• This deposit is used to cover initial consultation time, administrative costs, and the reservation of your production slot. The deposit is forfeited upon any customer cancellation, regardless of the notice given.

2. Tiered Refund Schedule (Excluding Deposit which will be considered 50% of order)

Refunds are calculated on the remaining balance (the total order price minus the non-refundable deposit).

Justification

Anytime before the week of the order. 

100% Refund of the Remaining Balance

Sufficient time to fill the production slot and stop all ingredient/supply purchases.

Mon-Wednesday before 

25% Refund of the Remaining Balance

Production planning is underway; specialized ingredients may be prepped or wasted.

The day of

0% Refund of the Remaining Balance

Production has likely started, significant ingredients have been used, and the labor cost is incurred.

3. Cancellation by Just Because Cookies and More

In the unlikely event that Just Because Cookies and More must cancel an order due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, family emergency, equipment failure):

• We will provide the customer with a 100% full refund, including the non-refundable deposit.
• We will do our best to assist the customer in finding an alternate baker or solution.

4. Chargebacks

• The client agrees to abide by the terms of this cancellation policy. Initiating a chargeback after agreeing to these terms may result in Just Because Cookies and More pursuing legal action to recover costs and fees associated with the dispute.
